The burger letter

I had to share this letter to the Editor which was published in The Advocate (NW Tasmania) on Saturday. I must say, I couldn’t agree more, the state of burgers has really gone downhill in Tasmania lately.

Thank you Mike Martignoles, you’ve made my day!

I like this letter for so many reasons, primarily because the person who waited on this man apparently didn’t wince when he made his request, instead treating him politely and without disdain. That’s what I’m missing these days.

And do you really put but beets on a burger?

I have strongly nostalgic feelings about the LOT Burger that was pretty common when I was a kid in the 70s. All of the above PLUS cheese, bacon and an egg. Unbeatable.

This is so pleasing to see, the letter was written about my cafe, honestly the gentlemans request was not hard to fullfill just common sense, and I believe in having honest courteous staff, Please and Thankyou are magic words and are largely forgotten nowadays,If your ever in Burnie and would like a real burger drop into Star City Cafe and request a Ricks Retro Burger :-)

Take a look at our advertising we are working on, designed by my staff member Stacy, the burger in the shot is what I actually make and what the customer will receive, dine in or take-away
